01Summary (TL;DR)

VWAY joins the 8th AI/IoT System Safety Symposium (Asian STAMP 2026), held on November 25–27, 2026, as an official sponsor. On day two, Thursday, November 26, 15:45–16:15 JST, Junsu Lim of our Solution Division presents “Maximizing STPA Analysis Productivity with VisualPro and AI” in planned session ASW23-01 of the 7th Asian STAMP Workshop at the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo. The talk shows how AI speeds up the most labor-intensive steps of STPA, deriving UCAs and loss scenarios, and shares a national power grid STPA case from CF Cyber Services in the UK.

02What is the 8th AI/IoT System Safety Symposium?

The AI/IoT System Safety Symposium has been held in Japan every year since 2018. This 8th edition opens with an online symposium, followed by the 7th Asian STAMP Workshop on day two and the FRAM Workshop on day three, both in person at the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo.

The Asian STAMP Workshop discusses how to improve the safety of systems marked by complexity, uncertainty and ambiguity. It centers on STAMP (System-Theoretic Accident Model and Processes) and applications of STPA, the hazard analysis technique built on it. VWAY has taken part every year since 2022 and joins this year as an official sponsor.

03VWAY Talk — Maximizing STPA Analysis Productivity with VisualPro and AI

STPA starts with a control structure, then identifies unsafe control actions (UCAs) and derives the loss scenarios in which those UCAs occur. Deriving UCAs and loss scenarios is the heaviest part of the work for analysts. This talk presents a way to accelerate these steps with AI.

Beyond the AI features built into VisualPro, we show a real workflow in which an AI agent works directly with the analysis tool through MCP (Model Context Protocol). We also present how CF Cyber Services in the UK raised one expert's productivity more than tenfold on a national-scale power grid STPA, and the operating principles that keep humans responsible for final decisions.

What the talk covers

  • Why deriving UCAs and loss scenarios is the heaviest step in STPA
  • AI in VisualPro STPA: it proposes UCA candidates and draft loss scenarios, and the analyst reviews and confirms them
  • MCP connection: an AI agent takes the analyst's instructions and reads and writes VisualPro analysis data directly
  • Customer case: more than 10× productivity for one expert on a national-scale power grid STPA
  • Keeping humans in charge of final decisions: review points and traceability

04Meet VWAY at the Venue

We will hand out a Japanese-language leaflet introducing VWAY's solutions at the venue. If you would like to talk about the presentation or our products, please find a VWAY team member on site.

Front and back of the Japanese-language VWAY leaflet handed out at the venue: the front introduces Teamer, VisualPro and Recoble with the Asian STAMP session details; the back lists key features of each product and contact information.

VisualPro — AI-Assisted Safety & Security AnalysisAnalysis automation

Integrates STPA, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA and TARA in one tool. AI proposes drafts such as UCA candidates and failure causes, and engineers review and confirm them. With MCP, external AI tools such as Claude can read and update the analysis in natural language.

Teamer — ALM Solution with AIProcess automation

Manages traceability from requirements to design and test and uses AI to check standards compliance. Safety requirements from STPA can be carried into development requirements. We will also show the add-on module Teamer RAS (AI quality assessment of requirements).

Recoble — Bring Scattered Records Together and Work with AIKnowledge & collaboration

Offers block notes, MCP connections, project and issue management, and AI briefings based on notes, tasks, schedules and mail.
AI assistant — choose on-premises (air-gapped networks supported) or connected (ChatGPT · Gemini · Claude) to fit your development environment.

05Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1When and where is the VWAY talk?

It takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, 15:45–16:15 JST in Rooms 1902-1903, 19F, National Institute of Informatics (National Center of Sciences), Tokyo. It is planned session ASW23-01 of the 7th Asian STAMP Workshop on day two of the 8th AI/IoT System Safety Symposium. Sessions may change at the organizer's discretion.

Q2What does the talk cover?

It shows how to accelerate UCA and loss scenario derivation, the most labor-intensive part of STPA, with AI. We demonstrate VisualPro's AI features and a real workflow in which an AI agent works directly with the analysis tool through MCP. We also present a customer case that raised one expert's productivity more than tenfold on a national-scale power grid STPA, and the principles that keep humans in charge of final decisions.

Q3How can I attend?

Attendance is free with advance registration on the official event page (connpass). Places are first come, first served, so we recommend registering early. Day one is an online symposium; the workshops on days two and three are held in person at the National Institute of Informatics.

Q4Can I see VisualPro STPA if I cannot attend?

Yes. Email sales@vwaycorp.com with the topics you are interested in and we will schedule an online demo. The demo can include the AI features and the MCP workflow presented in the talk.
